Never Lose Faith: Faith in Walking With God
Walking with God is not built around one emotional moment or a single decision made years ago. It is a daily life of faith, obedience, and fellowship with Him. Hebrews 11 points to Enoch as a man whose relationship with God shaped his entire life.
“By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him.” Hebrews 11:5, ESV
Scripture does not give us many details about Enoch, but what it says carries tremendous weight. Before he was taken, he was commended as someone who pleased God. His life was not remembered for wealth, influence, or earthly accomplishments. He was remembered because he walked closely with the Lord.
Hebrews then gives us a truth that cannot be avoided: without faith, it is impossible to please God. Walking with Him requires more than believing that He exists. We must trust His character, seek Him, and believe that He rewards those who draw near to Him.
Faith becomes real in the daily walk. It is revealed through ordinary obedience when nobody else is watching. It keeps seeking God when emotions fade, prayers seem unanswered, and the road becomes difficult. A faithful walk is built one surrendered step at a time.
Enoch lived in a corrupt generation, yet he still walked with God. The darkness around him did not determine the direction of his life. The same must be true for us. We cannot allow the condition of the culture to become an excuse for spiritual compromise.
