Steve Wohlberg on money in the end times and faithful stewardship

Money has a way of exposing what we really trust.

It can give us a false sense of security when things are going well, then fill us with fear when the economy becomes uncertain. For Christians, the answer is not panic, greed, or pretending these concerns do not matter. We need to think biblically about the resources God has placed in our hands.

On this episode of Faith and Family Fellowship, I spoke with Steve Wohlberg, speaker and director of White Horse Media. Steve is a Bible teacher, international speaker, and author of more than 50 books dealing with prophecy, health, end-times events, and Christian living.

Our conversation centers around the message of his book, Be Wise With Your Money in These End Times.

Steve explains why financial stewardship is not separate from our spiritual lives. How we earn, save, spend, invest, and give can reveal a great deal about our priorities and where we have placed our trust.

The Bible does not condemn money, but it repeatedly warns us about allowing money to master us.

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils.” 1 Timothy 6:10, ESV

Money makes a terrible god. It promises security it cannot guarantee. It promises satisfaction it cannot provide. When fear takes over, people can begin making decisions based on panic instead of wisdom.

That danger becomes even greater during unstable times. Christians should not ignore what is happening in the world around us. There is wisdom in preparing, eliminating unnecessary debt, living within our means, and carefully considering how we use what God has given us.

But preparation must never become an excuse for fear. Our trust is not in the economy. It is not in a bank account, an investment, or a government. Our trust must remain firmly planted in Jesus Christ.

That does not mean we become careless. It means we prepare with wisdom while refusing to let fear control us.

During this conversation, Steve and I discuss biblical stewardship, financial preparation, Bible prophecy, and what it means to remain faithful when pressure begins to increase.

This is not about chasing wealth or trying to predict every move in the economy. It is about recognizing that everything we have belongs to God and should be used for His purposes.

A faithful steward understands that money is a tool, not a master. We can use it to provide for our families, help people in need, support the work of the gospel, and prepare wisely for the future. But we must never allow it to replace our dependence upon God.

The world may become more unstable. Circumstances may change quickly. But Jesus Christ remains the same.

Our responsibility is to stay grounded in Scripture, walk in wisdom, reject fear, and remain faithful with whatever God has placed in our hands.
